Mother's Day With Chou Chou Briard

Happy Mother's Day!
Chou Chou supplied the breakfast! Coffee and hot cocoa. What could be better than that?
("Something for me could be better!")

That's Chou Chou on the labels. The image is Chou Chou, in her beret, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA. A coffee company packages it for me -- very good coffee and cocoa. ("And you get to see me as you drink it! Very classy, oui?)

After that, I was invited by my friend Mary to have brunch -- not for Mother's Day, but for my birthday. I was actually born on a Mother's Day. ("I was not invited... but neither was Toffee.")

Then to the store to pick up a large slice of cake, with buttercream icing, to bring to my mom. We would share it. ("Yes, yes! Just what I liked last month when I stole some of the frosting off the birthday cake! I was so happy to see that little buttercream cake today! We were going to share it!")

Considering how she lunged at a buttercream cake in March, grabbing some icing for herself, I decided to leave Chou home while I visited my mom with the cake.

("I was shocked! Shocked! My pawent was not going to share at all! That was so, so sad!")

("Eventually she came home to me, but she did not have the cake! I was home alone all day and then no buttercream icing? I hope my pawrent had a good Mother's Day and birthday, but I had a very sad day and I'm feeling growly!")
