Homecoming Weekend

"Pets For Stress" is a new student organization at California State University, Sacramento; they invited our animal-assisted therapy teams to Homecoming Weekend. Chou Chou and I are a certified team, so we participated. Can you find Chou in the slide show? ("Don't confuse me with the doodledog!")

A marching band was playing not too far away, but far enough so that the dogs were not frightened by the loud drums and horns. There were booths set up for refreshments, games for families, and information about groups on campus. The dog teams sat under a tent in the shade and waited for "stressed students" to come over to talk and pet the dogs.

It was so much fun to be back on campus -- having been a professor there for so many years -- and to talk with the students in a new capacity. And in all those years, for some reason I never attended Homecoming Weekend.

("When no one was looking, I munched on little acorns on the lawn! Very tasty!")
