Briards are herders, and even without sheep (especially without sheep), they need a job. One of Chou Chou's jobs is to bring in the newspaper. ("But no Sundays! Too heavy!")
She has been doing this since she was about 4 months old.
I walk her to the front yard and I remove the plastic bag covering the newspaper (so she doesn't eat little pieces of plastic while she is carrying the paper). She takes the newspaper in her mouth, carries it expertly into the house, and puts it on my kitchen chair. ("Then I get a treat!") Then she often gets a treat.
Today, to make a video of it, I let her go by herself get the newspaper -- and she did. But carrying it inside and putting it on my chair? Fail.
Not a chance, Puppy.
