A Video Gig for Chou

Progressive Portraits, my pet photographer (and pet sitter), landed an assignment with a pet toy company to take videos of dogs enjoying their product - a rawhide "greeting card."

It's a flat, white piece of rawhide with a note on it, like Happy Valentine's Day. Chou was one of the dogs in this potential ad. We shot the video at my home.

I gave Chou the rawhide "card." She sniffed it but walked away.  We tried several times, but this just wasn't her idea of a good treat.

Finally, I had an idea. I also have a cockatoo, who likes to toss to Chou Chou what she doesn't want to eat. I put her on a perch and handed her the Valentine rawhide, in her beak. Sure enough, she tossed it to the ground and Chou went over to inspect it. It was cute: bird giving Valentine card to puppy.

While Deb was at the house, she also took this photo. I love the lighting.

As for the video, I haven't seen it. The company hasn't released it.
